This project adopts an original laser cladding remanufacturing technology to repair the base material and reshape the cutting edge of worn tool bodies, enabling the recycled tools to reach 90% of the performance standards of new ones, reducing production costs by 40% and carbon emissions by 30%.
The company has reached recycling cooperation with SF Express and JD Logistics and set up 12 recycling points in the Yangtze River Delta region. "For every ton of high-speed steel cutting tools recycled, 1.6 tons of iron ore can be saved," the production manager calculated an environmental protection account. "We plan to establish a nationwide recycled cutting tool service system within three years." At present, this project has been selected as a demonstration case of "Waste-free Factory" in Zhejiang Province.
